For sale is
a figurine of a pair of lion cubs playing made by the Schwarzburger Werkstaetten in the 20th century . It was designed by
Etha Richter
who was one of the most important animal modelers of the
Jugendstil / Art Deco period.
This is the painted version to the white one I also own. One lion is one top of the other that is lying down on his back. All on a rounded base. The figurine is in great condition with a firing line on the tail of the top lion from the making. The figurine is marked with the impressed fox mark as well as the artists initials I believe. The piece is 5.5 inches tall, 5.5 inches wide and 4.75 inches deep.
