Description
These will be taken out of their plastic blister case and shipped bare with all the original components. This is to save us both on shipping.Post and Column Bases secure the bottom of posts or columns to concrete and are perfect for decks or patio covers. Models are available for attaching to existing hardened concrete, wet concrete, as well as wood. The AB series also offers adjustability around the anchor bolt to achieve optimum post placement. And many models provide a 1 in. standoff from the concrete to help avoid post-end rot from moisture.

Installation:
Place the base, load transfer plate and nut on the anchor bolt. Loosely tighten the nut.
Place the standoff base and then the post in the ABU.
Fasten using Nails or Bolts - Use only the specified fasteners below.
This 6x6 post base requires the following fasteners for installation: (1) – 5/8” concrete anchor, (12) -
16d x 3-1/2” Common Nails
or (2) – ½” Machine Bolts (Use nails
OR
bolts.
DO NOT
install nails and bolts together!)
Post bases do not provide adequate resistance to prevent members from rotating about the base and therefore are not recommended for non top-supported installations (such as fences or unbraced carports).
