These are very rare wonderful Antique Victorian/Edwardian Pierrot/Harlequin Chatelaine Pins
...
This pair of Chatelaine pins are set in a silver-toned metal. I am not sure what the metal is, as it does not attract a magnet, but I am not sure if it is some sort of silver or other metal so please be mindful of this.
The pins are a highly detailed Pierrot/Harlequin Girl/Boy, not sure which, that is walking with a Duck attached on a chain.
Both pin backs feature a C-Clasp closure, dating them from the late 1800's to early 1900's and possibly from France. The pins are unsigned and in fabulous antique condition, as I have tried to show in my pictures. The Pierrot figure measures approx. 2 1/4" long x 1 3/8" wide, the chain linking the two figures measures approx. 2 1/2" long, and the duck measures approx. 1 1/8" long x 3/4" wide...
I have searched exhaustively online and can't find anything else even close to these pins/figures anywhere. For the avid collector these are a must to add to your collection, so p
